If you have any concerns or complaints about the People Mediation practice, please raise these with Simon first. This is to help him to address these issues and correct them where possible. Please raise any concerns with 3 months of the conclusion of the mediation. We will not be able to deal with concerns raised after this period.
Please bear in mind that Simon can only deal with complaints in relation to his conduct as a mediator. Simon is not able to address complaints about the outcome of the mediation, for example, if you are subsequently not happy with the agreement you reached.
When you contact Simon it will be very helpful if you can provide:
•Your name, address and other contact details.
•A clear description of your concerns.
•Details of any suggestions or ideas you may have as to how the problem could be resolved.
•Copies of any relevant letters/documents which might assist in addressing the issue
We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 2 working days. We will respond to your complaint within 14 days, which may include asking you for more information. We aim to provide a complete response within 28 days of receiving your complaint.
Potential outcomes include: dismissal of the complaint, written apology, reduction or waiver of fee.
If Simon is unable to resolve these issues with you, you can refer your complaint to an external body.
If your complaint is about a family mediation, then you can ask ADR Group to look at it. ADR Group who will appoint an independent person to investigate your complaint.

If your complaint is about a civil mediation, it may be possible to use the Civil Mediation Council Complaints Resolution Service to resolve the issue. Please visit www.civilmediation.org for more information and click on the links to the Complaints Resolution Service or email the Registrar.
