Information for Solicitors and other professionals
How People Mediation can work with you
We aim to work in a complimentary way with you, within the bounds of confidentiality, and to provide you and your clients with a professional service. As a professional lawyer, Simon Robinson appreciates the role of a party's legal adviser and the demands which this entails. Simon's experience enables him to provide a high quality and cost-effective service to you and your clients. His legal background enables him to very quickly assimilate information and to appreciate the legal context of a dispute, particularly where proceedings have already been issued. Simon will ensure that you are kept up to date with the progress of a mediation.
Where parties are unrepresented, Simon is happy to signpost towards sources of legal advice, including suitably accredited solicitors who have worked with him.
In family cases, Simon is happy to conduct information and assessment meetings at solicitors' offices if that would assist the party or solicitors. Simon is happy to receive an agreed mediation bundle by email, post or DX.
In family cases, Simon can provide parties or their solicitors with a short session summary after each mediation session, and does not charge for this. Simon will provide a Memorandum of Understanding and Open Financial Summary at the conclusion of the full mediation. If you would like to refer a family case to People Mediation, please complete and return the referral form, which you can download here.
